NEW TECHNOLOGIES APPLIEDN to exploration, archaeological recording and analysis

In recent decades archeology has become a multidisciplinary science. Gradually, the research teams have become broader in scientific terms, integrating data fields of knowledge increasingly varied.

The realization that the events of the past are not necessarily focused on archaeological site, but it also explains the interaction between human populations and their environment, have led to increasing use of scanning techniques and analysis larger scale.
In parallel, Archaeology, formerly based predominantly in the excavation, has assumed the need for less aggressive action on the environment, giving entry to new techniques and methods of obtaining information not destructive.

The workshop aims to provide participants presented a series of lectures focusing on emerging disciplines applied to archaeological research.
We wanted to emphasize a practical approach based on case studies illustrating the potential of the new tools in the hands of archaeological research teams, including timelines from bronze to Medieval Archaeology.

The worshop will include sessions on the use of remote sensing, spatial analysis, geomorphology or the Archaeological Geophysics, but also filing cases integration of several of these techniques in the context of recent archaeological projects.
